The Skeptic Father
Remote Viewing By Carol Howard -
My family has always known that I was a little "different", and did not exactly hold the views of the rest of them. I was raised Christian and still hold most of the Christian beliefs. I stepped "over the line," as far as they are concerned, with my belief in reincarnation, aliens, and other paranormal activities. And I really stepped over the line when I brought my new husband Doc home to meet them. It may have been partially because he is 19 years older than myself, or that he is almost my Father's age, but I think it had mostly to do with what he does. "What do you DO anyway, my Father asked"?
Doc was very patient with the whole family issue, and it was a pretty big issue. Without going through all the doubt and suspicion, respect and confirmation stages, to say the least, it had its ups and downs.
My Father has had two double by-pass heart surgeries in the past and is now in great shape after his last one in 1991. I knew that Doc can "see" inside peoples' bodies and I asked him to take a look at Dad's heart to see what condition it was in.
I want to say that Doc stretched one of his rules for me here. He will not usually "look" at someone without their permission, as it is an intrusion in their personal space and a violation of what he would call "Universal Law". Sometimes he will make an exception for certain reasons, and he felt that this would be OK. He did ask me to say nothing to my Father about what he saw, unless he asked for it. This was a time when my Father did not understand or believe that Doc could do the things that he can. Doc told me he saw a very small hole in the back of Dad's heart that was inoperable, and that he would be OK if he took care of himself. He also seemed to know that Dad knew about it and was keeping it quiet.
It must have been 3 to 4 years later when we were having a discussion about Doc's ability to see in the body. We had discussed with him this topic before and he was always skeptical, and voiced it. He basically challenged me to have Doc look at him and I told him he already had. Of course, my Dad couldn't let that alone, he asked me what I meant. When I him what Doc had seen, he had a look on his face that was great. He confirmed that Doc was absolutely right, he did have a hole in his heart, and it wasn't causing him any trouble. He also said he had not mentioned it at all.
My Father is a spiritual man and very involved with his church. He has been doing healing at the altar and Doc has helped him to see and feel persons' body and energy field. My Father finds his work with the church very rewarding as we find our healing work rewarding. Sometimes, different belief systems can meet in the middle and find a way to respect and understand each other. There is certainly more then one belief and more than one room in God's house.
