Long Distance Healing
Arden and Betty D. - 1994

The motor home show where we were demonstrating a product we used to sell was being held in Biloxi Mississippi in February 1994. We had been to a few of them, and we never knew whom we were going to meet there. More times than I can remember, I would be in the booth and Doc would be led to work with healing or counseling with someone and they would end up back at the booth. This year that had happened a lot. I never really minded, I still don't, although sometimes it got rather crowed in that little 10 x 10 space.

Spirit works in amazing ways and we have found that we will be someplace for one reason, and that is not why we are REALLY there. This is how we felt about this show, and our meeting with Arden. Arden spent a lot of time in the booth with Doc. We both liked him immediately, it's real hard not to. He had come to the motorhome show without his wife Betty this year for she had been involved in a car accident and was badly hurt.

Doc did some healing on Arden and he had a great experience. They had spent quite a bit of time discussing the spiritual and religious aspects of Doc's healing work because Arden is a very Religious man. Doc explained to Arden that God is the healer and that he was the instrument. Many times we are asked by a client to work on someone they know. We gladly do this; however, we need their permission. When Arden asked us to work on Betty we explained this to him. It is simply none of our business to decide what someone else needs in their life. “I know you want her well, but it is ultimately Betty’s decision”, Doc told Arden. Arden then asked us when we would be able to come to Texas to help Betty. "I don't need to be with Betty, I will work long distance", and Doc continued. "I would like to talk to her on the phone though, so you get her permission and I'll call her to connect the energies. Arden was excited about this and said he would be talking to Betty that night.

We saw Arden first thing the next day where he told us that Betty would love to have a healing. That night after connecting on the phone, Doc and I worked on Betty. We do this by my "standing in" for Betty. Doc works on me and we both connect to Betty. I like this form of long distance healing for I always get a lot of energy from it and a wonderful nights sleep.

When Doc works on anyone, he does so without what he calls "fish hooks". This means the healing is unconditional and in his heart and mind, complete. We do not usually follow up with people to see how they are doing, not because we don't care, but because the gift is theirs and to ask how they are is a form of "fish hook". We really love to hear back from people, the confirmations are great, but we seldom call ourselves.

The motorhome show ended the next day and we all went our separate ways. It was almost a year or so when we heard from Arden through a friend of ours that he had been looking for us. When we called him we found out that he had been looking for us for months!

After Betty's car accident, the Doctor had found that Betty had a leaking disk in her back. He had told her it was inoperable. She had been in lots of pain and was basically immobile. They had led a very active life up until then and this accident had devastated their lives. Betty could not wait to get on the phone. Her back was completely healed and she wanted to know when we were going to come to visit them in Texas. Betty sounded great and from what she was saying, felt great. She also told us her Doctor was having a hard time understanding what had happened to her. (That happens sometimes.)

We told them we would try to come for a visit in a few months. This was around Christmas time and we thought it would be better to wait until it got warm. It was about a week later when we got a Christmas card from Arden and Betty. Enclosed with the card was a large check and wonderful message of gratitude. The check was timely and a gift not only from Betty, but also from Spirit. Many times we are led to work with someone spend a lot of time with them and there is not an exchange of energy.

Many people do not understand how this works, but it is very important. We did not ask Arden and Betty for anything, but were grateful that they realized the value of the work that we had done. So often we hear from people, "if it's God's work, why do you charge?" We ask that our time be compensated, not our gifts. We want to be available to do this work on a full time basis however; we live in a world that requires money to exist. Arden and Betty have become very good friends of ours. They have real strict Christian beliefs and we don't agree on some things, but the love is strong and rises above all else.
