Healed Her Back
After a Serious Car Accident
By Carol Howard
We used to travel all over the country working at trade shows demonstrating a product we sold. Many days we would
demonstrate at our booth all day long. This was hard work if the show was busy, but most of the time it was worth
it. The great side benefits of doing these show was the wonderful people we had an opportunity to meet all over the
Country and the adventures we went on. Most of the time I would do the demonstrating and Doc would take care of all
the back-up work. I encouraged him to do this because it left him free to do the real work we do, which is our
healing work. Inevitably, Spirit would lead someone to us or us to them at almost every show.
At one show, when it was towards the end of the day, Doc was sitting in the back of the booth, which was next to an
open aisle and a side wall. We had put an extra chair on the outside of the booth in this aisle, and as I looked, a
women in serious pain was making her way to this chair. A man had just walked up to see a demonstration of our
product, and this was his wife who was with him. She asked Doc if it was OK to sit there, and he told her it was
obvious that she needed to sit down. I proceeded to talk to her husband for the next 20 minutes while I sold him
our product.
Meanwhile, Doc was talking to the women and she told him that she had not wanted to come today, but it had been so
long since she and her husband had gone anywhere together. They had been in a serious car accident and she had
damaged her lower back very badly. It hurt her so much to walk that she just wanted to go home and lay down, and
that was where they were headed when they stopped by our booth.
I watched out of the side of my eye as I saw Doc talk to her. I knew that he would approach her with the idea of
alternate healing methods, I could see it coming. Normally he wouldn't say anything, but she was certainly ready to
try anything to feel better. I decided to make sure that I kept the husband occupied so that Doc at least had a
chance to talk to her for a little while. Doc asked the women if she ever considered any alternative methods and
she said she would try anything to feel better since regular therapy didn't seem to help much. He then told her
that he worked with Energy Healing or Bioenergetics. He explained what that was to her, and she agreed that she
would like to try it, right now, and right there.
I watched as Doc worked on her back for a few minutes. He did ask her to stand for a couple of those minutes and
then she sat back down in the chair. I finished up with her husband who was a nice man, and who had periodically
kept an eye on what was happening with his wife. I guess he must have not thought to much about it, he didn't say
anything to either one of us.
When he was ready to go, she got up to walk away with him. She said good-by, thanks and walked away, while Doc and
I stood there watching them. She was holding on to his arm when she suddenly stopped. We watched as all of a sudden
she started to jump up and down. She was gripping hard to her husbands arm, and from 20 yards away she was yelling
at him that she doesn't hurt anymore. "I can't believe this," she was yelling, "I don't hurt!" Her husband was
stunned by this time and was standing in the aisle with a perplexed look on his face. His wife turned back towards
Doc and literally ran to him and hugged him.
"What do I owe you," she said? "You don't owe me anything, just be well and take care of yourself," was Doc's
reply. She thanked him again and went back to join her husband who still didn't know what was going on. I'm sure
she caught him up on it later.
There is a great joy in being able to help someone and have the healing be instantaneous. It would be great if they
were all that way, but everyone if different, and it is important that we keep detached from the outcome. The
healing is unconditional, and it is important to us to work from a place of love and that God's will be done, not
our own.
