Dental Healing
For Sharon - 1992
By Carol Howard
The first year after we left California, Doc and I returned for many visits with my family and friends. My family
was still "warming up" to Doc, and some of the things he did pushed them out of their comfort zone. My brother
Andrew was living at home at the time and he loved Doc right from the start. Doc has always seen the potential in
Andrew, and Andrew appreciated this.
We had been at the house for only a few minutes during one of these visits when Andrew asked Doc if he could please
help his friend Sharon, who lived across the street. It seemed that this young girl (about 22) had all her wisdom
teeth pulled out at once and was suffering a lot of pain. Doc told him he would work with her, and he had barely
gotten that out when Andrew ran back and brought her to the house. Both sides of her face were really swollen and
it hurt just to look at her. I think that Dental Surgery is on of the worst things we have to deal with, it was no
wonder she had all her wisdom teeth pulled at once. Because Doc requires that the person receiving the healing ask
for it, he wanted to know from Sharon if she wanted a healing. She could hardly talk which was understandable, but
she did manage to nod her head.
Doc has so much compassion with people who are in pain like that. He placed his hands on the side of her head and
began to draw the pain out. As he is doing this, the body is restoring itself, and the swelling usually goes down
pretty quickly. He worked on Sharon for a few minutes sending energy back into the area, then told her to sit
quietly for a few minutes. It was obvious right away that she felt better because her eyes cleared up. She went to
stand up and was very dizzy. Doc asked her to sit back down and told her that this happens to a lot of people. "You
will feel dizzy for a few minutes because of the extra energy I just gave you. It is like over-charging the
battery, and you have to let it dissipate."
It wasn't very long before she was ready to leave, and the swelling had gone down quite a bit. Sharon told us she
hardly felt any pain at all and was very grateful for the assistance Doc had given to her recovery. We did tell her
to take it easy on her mouth for a few days, and to follow her Doctor's recommendations. We never saw Sharon again,
although Andrew told us she never had any more problems with her teeth after that. I have always wondered, why do
they call them "Wisdom Teeth," anyway?
